Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, the selected candidate will be responsible for various aspects of financial reporting, a function focusing on complex revenue transactions in the power trading industry reaching over $800 million US annually, including Brazil. More specifically, the Senior Financial Analyst will have the following responsibilities:

• Prepare various types of financial analyses focusing on revenues using key performance indicators specific to the energy sector;
• Participate in the preparation of the underlying value of the business and impairment testing analysis of Brookfield Renewable Power’s assets;
• Participate in the preparation of monthly management reports including financial highlights, detailed revenue analysis and yearly financial outlook;
• Assist in the compilation of the annual revenue budget;
• Assist in the monthly preparation of the complex variable pay calculation for both business units and traders;
• Participate in the implementation oversight of Brookfield Renewable Power’s future Business Intelligence tool;
• Support the Senior Manager, Finance in various related activities.

• Professional designation (CA, CGA or CMA) with approximately 5 years of relevant experience;
• Knowledge regarding revenue transactions and market trading would be an asset;
• Solid analytical and organizational abilities;
• Ability to deal comfortably with a fast-moving environment; open minded and flexibility in adapting to change;
• Quality and detail oriented and able to meet tight deadlines;
• Excellent team player;
• Advanced knowledge of Excel;
• Bilingual (English and French).
