We are presently looking to fill the position of Developer, whose primary responsibilities will be focused on the development of new applications. An active member of the Information and Technology group, the incumbent will more specifically be responsible for the following activities:

• Participate in the development of applications using VB.NET and Oracle;
• Develop, implement and support new applications;
• Present a problem-solving approach;
• Develop, modify and implement tests protocols;
• Analyse and understand customer’s problems;
• Define the level of urgency and prioritize the work load.

Candidate profile – Experience and qualifications

• College or University degree or equivalent in Computer Science/Technology;
• Minimum of 5 years or experience with proven skills in development of applications written;
• Experience in designing (Microsoft. NET Framework), estimating, coding and testing complex programs;
• Capable of preparing detailed specifications for programs;
• Technically proficient with VB.NET, Oracle;
• Knowledge of relational database (Stored Procedures, Triggers);
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French;
• Analytical abilities, combines with a good business sense and problem solving skills;
• Action-oriented individual who excels in a multi-project paced environment able to work in a team environment and to perform successfully under limited supervision;
• Capable of working occasionally in the evening and week-ends in order to offer support-service during transfer activities or upgrades.
