APPLICATION PROJECT MANAGER– Contractual

Description: This position
offers the opportunity to play an integral role within a
dynamic company operating in a high growth industry. The
selected candidate will be responsible for managing all Application
Development Projects. The incumbent will plan, organize and
control the project life cycle in order to ensure quality
while respecting specified deadlines and budgets. This position
involves evaluating new projects, determining priorities,
establishing schedules, including selecting and allocating
resources required to ensure successful completion of the
projects, and follow up with a postmortem analysis.
- Manage a team of developers and work with a variety
of clients to advance the technical solutions and systems
architectures;
- Provide architectural and design leadership and support in
all phases of development life cycle;
- Perform high-level analysis and design;
- Propose technical solution to meet defined business needs;
- Provide estimates for the development resources of projects;
- Recommend software development tools and language(s);
- Review and refine architecture as needed;
- Provide leadership and mentoring to the development staff
members.
Candidate profile – Experience and
qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer
Engineering, or equivalent is required;
- 10 years of experience in design, development and implementation
of complex systems;
- Knowledge of application development best practices and
emerging technologies;
- Extensive experience in developing large scale Microsoft
.Net solutions;
- 5+ years experience managing a development team;
- Experience in developing complex system architecture environment;
- Knowledge of application and infrastructure security;
- Proven track record of successful performance-oriented
application remediation;
- Analytical and problem solving abilities combined with
the ability to work effectively with users and the team;
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast pace environment and
to adapt quickly to changing priorities;
- Strong project management skills (PMP certification,an
asset);
Strong communication skills (oral and written).
