Ed Kress, Group Chairman
As the Group Chairman of Brookfield Power, Ed has been responsible for the expansion of Brookfield’s power generation over the past fifteen years, including the Magpie River, Valerie Falls and Lake Superior Power developments, and the acquisition of Pontiac Power, Highvale Power and Louisiana Hydroelectric. Ed joined the Brookfield’s senior management team in 1974 from Ernst & Young and has worked extensively with a variety of industry stakeholders in respect to property tax reform and industry re-regulation in Ontario.

Harry Goldgut, Chairman and Co-Chief Executive Officer
As Chairman and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield’s power operations, Harry is currently responsible for Brookfield Power’s strategic initiatives, oversight of the Company’s electric power operations in North America, governmental and regulatory affairs and for monitoring the electricity industry’s restructuring and deregulation initiatives in global markets with a focus on North America. In addition, he has played an active role in the restructuring of the electricity industry in Ontario as a member of Ontario’s Market Design Committee. Harry came to Brookfield in 1997 from Jay-M Holdings Limited through a partnership relationship in Hydro-Pontiac, now called Pontiac Power, a fully owned subsidiary of Brookfield Power.

Harry was called to the Ontario Bar in 1982 following his graduation from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University in 1980.

Richard Legault, President and Co-Chief Executive Officer
Richard was appointed President and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield Power in 2000. He was instrumental in leading the expansion of the company’s hydroelectric energy operations. In his additional role as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Great Lakes Hydro Income Fund, Richard has lowered this group’s cost of capital and derived income from managing the power business and marketing its low-cost hydroelectric power. Richard was previously Vice-President, Energy Division of James Maclaren Industries, an affiliate of Nexfor Inc., where he formerly held various senior energy and financial positions.

Richard is a graduate of Bacc. of Accounting from the Université du Québec in Hull, and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Donald Tremblay, Executive VP, Chief Financial Officer
Donald was appointed Executive VP, Chief Financial Officer in 2003. He joined Brookfield Power in 1999 and was instrumental in the inception of the Great Lakes Hydro Income Fund, in which Brookfield Power today owns a 50.1% equity interest. In addition, Donald plays an active role in the financing and business development activities. As Chief Financial Officer of the Great Lakes Hydro Income Fund, he is also responsible for the Fund's finances, communications and investor relations. Before joining Brookfield Power, Donald was Director of Finance, Energy Division of James Maclaren Industries, an affiliate of Nexfor Inc., where he formerly held various financial positions.

Donald is a graduate of Bacc. of Accounting from the Université du Québec in Hull, and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Colin Clark, Executive VP and Chief Technical Officer
Colin was appointed Executive Vice-President and Chief Technical Officer of Brookfield Power and of the Great Lakes Power Trust in 2004. He was formerly President & CEO of Great Lakes Power Limited and Lake Superior Power, and Senior Vice-President, Operations of Brookfield Power. Colin is responsible for the growth and expansion of Brookfield Power, including acquisitions, developments and major projects.

Colin has had wide experience in electrical generation, transmission and distribution. He has served on many associations, committees, and task forces in the electric utility industry in Canada. Colin joined Brookfield Power in 1997 from Ottawa Hydro.

Colin holds a B. Sc. (Eng.) in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Applied Science, Queen's University, Kingston. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario, a Licensed Professional Engineer in British Columbia, and a Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He is also a Director of the Canadian Electricity Association (CEA), a Founding Member, Secretary and Director, Canadian Hydropower Association (CHA), a Member of the International Hydropower Association (IHA), a Member of the Canadian Dam Association (CDA), a Founding Member and former Vice-Chair of the Ontario Waterpower Association (OWA), and a Member of Conseil International des Grands Réseaux Électriques (CIGRÉ).

Laurent Cusson, Executive VP
Laurent was appointed Executive Vice-President in 2004. Laurent is responsible for managing Brookfield Power’s operations and the integration of new acquisitions.

Formerly Senior Vice-President, Business Development for Brookfield Power and has a wide experience in electrical generation. Before joining Brookfield Power, Laurent occupied the position of Director of the Energy Division of James Maclaren Industries, an affiliate of Nexfor Inc.
