Harry Goldgut, Chairman
Mr. Goldgut is Chairman of Brookfield Renewable Power and a Senior Managing Partner of Brookfield. He has been involved in the electric power industry since 1985. Mr. Goldgut joined Brookfield in 1997 as Vice President, Power Generation and since then has held various senior positions in Brookfield Renewable Power, becoming its Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 2000, adding Chairman in 2005. He has been actively involved in developing and expanding Brookfield’s power operations and has had primary responsibility for its acquisitions and its senior regulatory relationships. He has played an active role in the restructuring of the electricity industry in Ontario as both a member of the Market Design Committee appointed by the Ontario Government in 1998 and as a current member of the Minister of Energy’s Advisory Committee.

Richard Legault, President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Legault has been with Brookfield for almost 20 years and spent the first ten years holding various senior management positions in the power and forest products sectors within Brookfield’s operations. In 1999, Mr. Legault took on the role of Chief Financial Officer for Brookfield Renewable Power and Senior Vice President, Finance of Brookfield, as well as Chief Executive Officer of Great Lakes Hydro Income Fund. Mr. Legault was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of Brookfield Renewable Power in 2000 and most recently, became its Chief Executive Officer. He is also a Senior Managing Partner of Brookfield. Mr. Legault has been instrumental in developing and implementing the growth strategy of Brookfield Renewable Power; under his leadership, Brookfield Renewable Power grew its asset base from 1,000 MW to more than 4,000 MW and significantly expanded its operating and marketing platform in North and South America.

Donald Tremblay, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Tremblay has more than 15 years of experience working at Brookfield. He started his career holding financial management positions of increasing responsibility with Brookfield. Mr. Tremblay joined Brookfield Renewable Power in 1999 and was instrumental in the initial public offering of Great Lakes Hydro Income Fund. Mr. Tremblay was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Brookfield Renewable Power in 2003. In this role, he has led teams responsible for conducting financings of a total value exceeding $2.5 billion and has been actively involved in the due diligence process of more than 20 acquisitions that have significantly expanded the portfolio of assets of Brookfield Renewable Power.

Colin Clark, Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Officer
Mr. Clark joined Brookfield Renewable Power in 1997 from Ottawa Hydro. He has held several senior management positions with Brookfield Renewable Power. Mr. Clark was appointed Executive Vice President & Chief Technical Officer of Brookfield Renewable in 2004. He has been instrumental in assessing new technology and leading the resolution of complex technical issues that have resulted in significant value creation for Brookfield Renewable Power. Overall, Mr. Clark has over 30 years of experience in the power industry; he has held engineering and senior management positions in the electric power generation, transmission and distribution business, covering design and construction of electric power projects, maintenance, system operations, and development. He is currently President of the Canadian Hydro Association and has served on many associations, committees, and task forces in the electric utility industry in North America.

Stéphane Landry, Senior Vice President, Strategy and Market Development
Since joining Brookfield Renewable Power in 2003, Mr. Landry has held several senior management positions including, Director of Energy Portfolio Analysis, Vice President of Asset Management, and Vice President of Corporate Development and Regulatory Affairs. In these roles, Mr. Landry was responsible for overseeing functions relating to business planning and hydro asset management, including the preparation of annual business plans, generation planning, asset optimization and regulatory affairs. Mr. Landry was appointed Senior Vice President of Strategy and Market Development in 2007. Since joining the organization, he has been leading the analysis of energy markets to support the acquisition and development of renewable power assets in existing and new markets. Mr. Landry’s economic analyses and long-term views of the energy markets have been critical to Brookfield Renewable Power’s ability to make investment decisions that have yielded superior risk adjusted returns. Prior to joining Brookfield Renewable Power, Mr. Landry spent more than 15 years working in different areas within the energy sector, including project development and demand side analysis.

Felipe Pinel, Senior Vice-President, Renewable Power Development - Latin America
President, Investment & Commercialization Division, Brookfield Energia Renovável 
Mr. Pinel joined Brookfield 19 years ago in Brazil and since then he has held several positions in legal, finance and business development in North America.  He currently has responsibility for the company’s growth in Latin America as well as for the marketing activities of Brookfield Renewable Power in Brazil. Mr. Pinel has played a leading role in the growth of the company’s power business in Brazil over the last nine years. More recently Felipe became responsible for managing the revenue of our subsidiary in Brazil, Brookfield Energia Renovável , being responsible for all marketing activities in that country. 

Ben Vaughan, Chief Operating Officer, Brookfield Renewable Power
Mr. Vaughan joined Brookfield in 2001 as part of the corporate development team and in that capacity he focused on restructurings, financings, acquisitions and divestitures. In 2006, upon joining the team at Brookfield Renewable Power as Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, Mr. Vaughan led several acquisition focused growth initiatives including the acquisition of several hydroelectric power plants across the United States and Canada. In 2007, he assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer of Brookfield Energy Marketing Inc. (“BEMI”), Brookfield Renewable Power’s marketing and sales organization, and in 2008, became its Chief Operating Officer. In 2009, he became Chief Operating Officer of Brookfield Renewable Power overseeing the North American operations while continuing to lead the marketing, risk management and settlement teams in driving results to optimize the portfolio and maximize revenues.

Kim Osmars, Chief Operating Officer, U.S. Operations
Mr. Osmars was appointed Chief Operating Officer, US Operations of Brookfield Renewable Power in 2007. His leadership has been critical in implementing Brookfield Renewable Power’s new business unit in the United States and building the team required to manage all facets of Brookfield Renewable Power’s asset base in that country. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Osmars held several other senior positions within the Project Development, Ontario Operations and Transmission and Distribution areas of Brookfield’s energy businesses. He has also been instrumental in overseeing the successful development of Brookfield Renewable Power’s first wind farm. Mr. Osmars has more than 25 years of international electrical industry experience in generation, transmission, distribution, regulatory affairs and customer service, working in senior operational and project management roles in regulated and non regulated business environments. He has been a member and served as a director on numerous industry associations in Ontario and Canada.

Luiz Renha, President and Chief Executive Officer, Brookfield Energia Renovável 
Mr. Renha joined BESA, Brookfield’s power generation business in Brazil, in 2004. He became the President and Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield Energia Renovável in 2005. Mr. Renha has been instrumental in building the Brookfield Renewable Power business in Brazil and establishing a footprint for Brookfield Renewable Power in that country. He has led the growth of Brookfield Energia Renovável  which resulted in increasing the asset base from three to twenty-nine plants over the last four years, with additional plants under construction. He has also been responsible for implementing the operating platform and building the team required to manage the expanding operations in Brazil. Prior to his experience at Brookfield Energia Renovável , Mr. Renha worked at Brookfield in Brazil.

André Legault, Chief Operating Officer, Canadian Operations
Mr. Legault joined Brookfield Renewable Power in 2008 and was appointed Chief Operating Officer, Canadian Operations. Mr. Legault has more than 25 years of experience working in operational management roles of increasing responsibility in the forestry sector. Over the course of the last fifteen years, he has held senior management positions, including President and Chief Executive Officer of Papier Masson Ltée, a newsprint manufacturer. Throughout his career, Mr. Legault has had a track record of leading teams to successfully implement significant changes in organizations and achieve better business results. In his new role in Brookfield Renewable Power, Mr. Legault is responsible for Brookfield Renewable Power’s operations in Canada.

Kevin Hall, Chief Information Officer
Mr. Hall was appointed Chief Information Officer for Brookfield Renewable Power in August 2008. As an IT Executive with more than 20 years experience, Mr. Hall is successful in leveraging people, process, and technology to realize business strategy.  With excellent analytical and leadership skills, he has a track record of delivering practical technology solutions that meet business needs. He has broad expertise in hardware, software, and planning, with extensive experience in project management and operational architectures for high-availability, mission critical systems.

Patricia Bood, Vice President, Legal Services and General Counsel
Ms. Bood has overseen the legal affairs for the organization since March 2003.  She is also the secretary of Great Lakes Hydro Income Fund. Ms. Bood provides advice and assistance to management and business units and participates in corporate, securities, acquisition, financing and other corporate office activity.  Prior to joining Brookfield Renewable, Ms. Bood practiced law at Blake Cassels & Graydon LLP in Ottawa.

Madeleine Bourdon, Vice President, Human Resources and Organizational Development
Mrs. Bourdon joined Brookfield Renewable Power in 2003. As Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development, she is responsible for developing the HR strategic plan to support the growth of Brookfield Renewable Power, and setting the human resources framework for the organization. She oversees the areas of human resources planning, recruitment, compensation and benefits, training and development, and defines the human resources programs and policies that are implemented across the organization. Prior to joining Brookfield Renewable Power, Mrs. Bourdon worked as a consultant in the area of organizational development for companies such as Watson Wyatt Worldwide and The Phillips Group of Companies. Mrs. Bourdon holds a Bachelor of Science, a Bachelor of Business Administration, as well as a Masters of Business Administration (MBA).
